General
... I have been actively pursuing a career change from banking to web development by taking software development courses for the last year. I originally graduated from the University of Washington where I studied sociology. After graduating, I began my career in the banking industry where I excelled. I was promoted three times during the four years I worked at Alaska USA. However, my interests have always been rooted in technology. While working I continued my education by enrolling in a Java course at Bellevue College, followed by full-stack JavaScript courses at Code Fellows where I graduated from this March. I have found the intersection of my love for data and design in web development. My interests have branched out to include Angular, HTML, CSS, Sass, Express, Node.js, and MongoDB. I am becoming proficient in test-driven development, object-oriented programming, and functional programming. I am also very eager to learning new technologies.
